The School Store is a place where students can purchase supplies for their classes at reasonable prices while within a school setting. The school store sells items such as notebooks, pens, pencils, rulers, paper, posterboard, markers and more. But the store is better known for the trendy School Spirit items chosen by School Store workers.  

 

Our school store is ran by the Marketing Management Class. They are responsible for all aspects of running and marketing the small business.  It gives them a unqiue opportunity to put concepts learned in class into actions right before their eyes. 

 

This is a true-to-life situation,incorporates teamwork,responsibilities, management,and tangible results using business techniques, advertising, and accounting skills. Students are able to understand simple economics through these hands-on activities.They learn about the ordering process and gain an understanding of the differences between wholesale and retail.  Students learn how to deal with people through real social interactions. They not only learn the “ins and outs” of a business, but they also learn the responsibility and attributes of a successful employee.  And of course they help design the products of choice each year and successfully promote them through numerous advertising medias.
